The GE Charcoal Microwave and Range Filter (WB2X9883) is a recirculating charcoal microwave filter for use with non-ducted over the range microwaves. It filters and recirculates cooking odors when the microwave oven is not vented to the outside. It fits most non-convection microwave models. It can also be used for odor elimination via the use of the microwave fan when cooking on your range stove. Additionally, this particular charcoal filter can be used on many non-ducted as well as ducted range stove vent hoods which are entirely separate from the microwave.

The GE WB2X9883 is constructed of a sheet of charcoal fiber overlaid on one side with an aluminum meshing. It is made to absorb odors and prevent them from recirculating in to future meals as well as the air in your home.

Dirty microwave filters create more strain on your microwave and range stove vent fan which limits their lifespan. This filter should be replaced every 6-9 months depending on specific microwave and range vent usage.
